Active Voice is a sentence where people, animal, or a thing that shown by the subject do something to the other's things.
(Kalimat aktif adalah kalimat dimana orang, binatang, atau benda yang ditunjukkan oleh subjek dikatakan melakukan sesuatu pada yang lain).
That means, the subject of the sentence is the side that do the work.
(Artinya, disini subjek-nya lah yang melakukan pekerjaan)

In contrast, passive sentences is a sentence where a person, animal, or object is said to suffer something from something else.
(Sebaliknya, kalimat pasif (passive voice) adalah kalimat dimana orang, binatang, atau benda dikatakan menderita sesuatu dari sesuatu yang lain)
That means, the subject of the sentence is given a work by the object.
(Artinya subject-nya dikenai pekerjaan oleh object kalimat).

Formula for the passive form (Rumus untuk bentuk pasif ):

To Be + Pas Participle (Verb 3).

Contoh kalimat Aktif dan Pasif dalam present dan past tense :

PRESENT TENSE

Active: She Studies English. (Dia belajar bahasa inggris)

Passive: English is studied by her. (Bahasa inggris itu dipelajari olehnya)

Active: I eat an orange fruit. (saya memakan buah jeruk)

Passive: The Orange fruit is eaten by me. (buah jeruk itu dimakan oleh saya)

PAST TENSE

Active: They played football last night. (Mereka bermain sepakbola kemarin malam)

Passive: Football was played by them last night. (Sepakbola dimainkan oleh mereka kemarin malam.)

Active: Budi sang a song in front of the class last week. (Budi menyanyikan sebuah lagu di depan kelas minggu lalu)

Passive: A song was sung by Budi in front of the class las week. (Sebuah lagu dinyanyikan oleh Budi minggu lalu)
